It was a good week. They seem
to go faster and faster... I know I said that last week.... but still! I
have 10 days till I reach my 1/3 of the way mark. yup. 6 months already. And
our birthday! wooohooo! We’re gonna be old! I tease Sis J.... she
seems quite distressed... she turns 23 tomorrow. She thinks that is old.
Zone conference was fabulous.
6 hours. Lunch with all the other missionaries. Some good
lessons... attempts at role plays.... heard a couple of really good stories too....
I handwrote some of those out for you though.:)
We had a couple of great experiences
this week... which has led us to 3 new investigators! :) Excitement! We
hardly had any appts that didn't fall through.... so we tried to set some solid
appts and tried by some of the potentials we've found in the past few
weeks. 2 of our potentials agreed to a return appt... So we'll see them
this week... and then we found one while tracting. hopefully you'll hear
a lot more about him. I was nervous for this particular door at first....
but he came right outside (in the heavy snow even) and chatted with us for 30
minutes about how he investigated once before, and then dated the sister
missionary after she came home. It fell through, he quit investigating...
then he went to Iraq where he’s been serving in the army for 12 years. He’s
only here on leave, but he asked us if we could come back. Tomorrow! Hopefully
there will be more to report after that. :) he’s one of the happiest
people I’ve met, and says that his faith in God has gotten him through some
really tough times... being shot at, hearing bombs go off, losing loved
ones.
life is great.
