hi!!! i love you lots!!!!!! thanks for being awesome!!!!!
Hello from Wales!
i
really love reading your emails. you are quite good at writing now :P
remember at the beginning.... you couldn't even think what to say, and i
just asked for all the random little details. yup. i like the random
little details. that's what family is. makes me feel a part of it all.
: )
we are finding a lot of success in this area. so
much potential... this are is ready for a harvest! a big one! :) we
have found many potential investigators and have quite a few return
appointment. one lad that we met- we were tracting. in the rain even -
we started sharing a bit about who we are and our message and she
started crying. right there at the door. we paused and asked if every
was ok, and testified about the power of our message and asked if we
could share it with her sometime. (a bad habit i have.... asking if we
can come back rather than asking if we could share a message now) and
she invited us right in!!!!!!! we learned a bit about her and her life
and religious background, bore our testimonies and set up a return
appointment for this week. we are very excited for her.
and Daren.... or 'Hobbit' as he likes to be called,
but we stick with Daren. we were trying by some former investigators.
we knocked on his door to contact ''tracey'.... but the possibility of
her living there was low. he answered and opened right up. we talked
on his door step for nearly an hour. He is a
very logical thinker, but he already has strong faith in God and Jesus.
he investigated our church before (lots of churches) and agreed to
have us come around for a gospel discussion and to share with him a
little bit more about our faith and how it could help him in his life.
he said he'd even try to come out to church. we knew that he was
serious. he is not the lying type. then he called Sunday morning
(during a baptismal service even.... oops.... it was the baptism of two
young girls that the elders in our ward had worked with) he's in the
hospital! but he was definitely going to come to church. We're going to see him tonight.
we barely know him - he barely knows us. but he called us right away.
its kinda like we are already good friends. he even asked if we could
bring him a toothbrush..... some things that the hospitals wont
provide. crazy. i like Daren. he's a Viking. quite literally. well.
he's a historian... and does viking reenactments. which must be quite
amusing cuz he is tiny! so when they are doing the battle axe fight
scenes... lol. everyone we meet has the most unique personality. i love
it!
oh yes. and our lesson with S. went quite
well. for the most part. she is tough. she is very spiritual, but is
quite dependent on the bible 'the bible doesn't mention Joseph Smith. or
the Book of Momon' and when we asked her to read and pray she agreed
to read but straight up said 'no' to pray. so we asked why. 'i'm not
looking for change'..... uh. we're not telling her to pray for change.
just for truth. i believe she has a small inkling already that this is
true.... cuz it would only bring change if it was. bother. we will
still see her again... but not till after half term (one week holiday
for student....) and she spent quite a bit of time networking her
product with us. she really wants us to get people involved... which
i'm not to sure we can actually do. she even called another lady on the
phone and had us listen to her testimonial. this product sounds like a
miracle cure. that idea alone makes me skeptical. apparently it has
healed people with complete life debilitating diseases like fibromalyasia , polio, and cancer even. hmmmmm. it is just nutrients. a lot
of vitamins and minerals, but idk. you could research it out if you're
interested, i can confidently tell S. I've done my part. i've
shared it with you.... doesn't mean you have to act on it.... unless
you're interested in a miracle cure... who knows. it could cure you of
every bad thing you have ever struggled with..... lol. anyway.
we have definitely seen a lot of miracles here. i
feel incredibly blessed to be here, and to be here with sister H..
:) i am definitely loving my mission. i see a lot of faith and
strength in my companion. i love sister h. and she is helping me a
lot. i felt like a rubbish new missionary , but i realize that we
(especially sisters) compare our weaknesses with other's strengths. i'm
glad for my weaknesses though.... i've noticed lately that the places
that i am a bit weaker - like random conversation, or faith to pray....
is made up for in sister H, and a lot of the time when i
struggle with something it ends up helping her to become better at it.
that definitely happened with my trainer. the things she struggled
with became the things i was quite good at. interesting balance.
companionship unity though :)
kk. welp.. i need to get off soon. i
love you lots! i am excited to hear that your bees are thriving at that
it is warm there. lol. lucky. send some my way please.... though it is
actually sunny today.... and there were a couple days last week that i
felt quite warm. blessings, eh?
