Things going well in Cardiff, Wales.

This week, I just happened to be on the computer when Ashley sent me her p-day letter.  We were able to shoot emails back and forth for about 20 minutes.  What a blessing!  We also received a hand written letter from her this week too.  She loves being a missionary!  She made a comment in her hand written letter saying "...yesterday we had our proselyting activity in Manchester again.  I felt much more successful.  We talked to a young woman about our age for quite awhile.  She seemed fairly interested.  We left her with a Book of Mormon and some pamphlets.  She was very sweet and curious.  It's crazy how much I feel for these people I've never even met.  I just feel so connected with them, and I can see exactly how much God loves them. When they tell me of their struggles or joy I feel sorrow or happiness with them.  I'm a much more emotional person since being here.  It's crazy, I really do feel set apart from my life before.  It's great!"

I loved this statement from Ashley.  She is truly called to be a missionary, and is in the right place at the right time.

Hello!

I've been thinking all week about how important it is for members to reach out and fellowship investigators, less actives and  other members.  Strong love and unity in the ward is SOOOO essential! I'm positive the missionaries there are incredibly grateful for your help.

The people in the ward are all very wonderful people, it's a 'transient' ward (meaning that half the ward are young single adults that are there for university).  The relief society is great (they are SOOO excited to have sis. missionaries... they haven't for 5 or more years. we're going to be getting a lot of attention. and alot of DAs - dinner appointments-)

Thurs. and Friday were not super productive for us, because neither of us knew anything about the area.  we were given three names of people to call, and the rest we had to take as it came. so in the past 72  hours we have learned so much! I'm surprised i remember it all! A wonderful sister named Jaz - who is a convert of 1 year - absolutely loves missionary work! and she has helped us so much. she gave us the rundown of all the members and most of the less actives. she is going to help us so much in the future too!

My very first lesson was on Saturday. we actually had 3 lessons on Saturday. Whoot!!!!  Our investigator. \he's Indian. and his roommates joined us. (i think i wrote more about him in the paper letter I'll send this afternoon.) jaz came with us. He is readying the BoM and praying. .....

I'm living in a nice complex. really close to the bay.  maybe you can look it up on Google maps :P I'm loving being a missionary! Especially  during and after our lessons on Saturday. we have two investigators that are pretty serious. 

bah. I'll tell you about it in a second. the computer is about to log me off.

We did not get to talk much after this letter.  Just short little emails back and forth about general stuff.  The address she gave above is her apartment address.  The address on the side bar will always get letters to her, but it will take quite a bit longer to get to her.  It seems to be taking about 5 days to get letters back and forth.  I thought it wold take alot longer and was really surprised.
