Ashley's 1st P-Day letter

Ashley actually wrote 3 letters and I just put them all in one post.  I'm trying to get the pictures she sent into a slideshow, but I am having technical difficulities.  Hopefully I will get it figured out soon.

Hello!
The clock is already ticking and \i'm terrified that i'm going to run out of time and not be able to write everything.  I have my camera hooked up and i'm gonna try to send pictures. \i;ll mail back the sd card when it gets fuller.  i sent a rather long letter just yesterday... it tells about lots of things... all my companions and what we;ve been doing.
Sister Fairbanks and i have already taught 3 investigators (they;re teachers actually) and we have a 2nd lesson tonight. the weather has been beautiful. everyone from the uk is telling us that this has been the wettest summer in 100 years, but for some reason this week is strang. it;s mostly been sunny.  I love it here! It;s so beautiful... the most beautiful temple grounds i have ever seen.  Gordon B. Hinkley once said that these ground are far to romantic for the mtc. we're spoiled.
So there are 10 sisters here (and a couple too)

ok... i'm sending this email now so i can get more pictures in

be right back

I'm back! :D

Anyways... the sisters. I love them so much.  Only 3 of us are from the states... that's really rare for here.  one from scottland. one thailand. one paris. one Georgia (the actual country... look it up). Armenia. Uganda.  4 of them are still learning english.. i say more in my letter home. hopefully you get that in a couple days.

We wake up at 630... well i wake up at around 645 actually. get ready and beautified :) then breakfast at 715.  after breakfast we have personal study for an hour in our district room, then companion study. generally we use this time to prep for our lessons for that day or the next.  we started teaching right away. we did really well on our first too. definitely think we'll have progress there.  The lady we spoke to last night was definitely different. she talks sooooooo much, very ADD.  very nice, but we couldn't even tell her what we believed (she kept interupting) even talked through the prayer. we'll see how that goes.  all the investigators are played by teachers and they're portraying people they have taught, so it feels very real life. and in the end they were all baptised :) after planning/studying we have some sort of lesson by our district teacher, lunch and 1230 (which is generally pretty tasty... everyone had me worried about the food. its pretty good... i just add salt. :D)

Sunday was the longest day yet. but it was long in a different kind of way, so it was relaxing.  on the very first day Pres. Walker told us to start planning for a 5 min. talk on what faith means to me for sunday. i knew immediately that i would be speaking in church. out of 46 people to call on, i was one of the 6. but at least i knew ahead of time. somehow.  we had choir right after (everyone was required to attend) during which everyone had to learn how to conduct music. i didn't struggle near as much as some. \I am fairly good at leading music.  I even ended up in an impromptu quartet. there was a couple devotionals. we watched the joseph smith movie. seen that yet? Dinner and then a fireside.

We went to the temple this morning. i believe i sent some pics. and right after this we're getting in a bus heading for Chorley downtown.  they have a farmer's market type thing every tuesday, so that should be fun. we'll get money exchanged there.

I really hope everything is going great there! and i expect at least 4 letters from all of you combined for next week (free printing. yay!)

I love you so much! but time is ticking. hope you enjoy the pictures, and have a great week!

Please tell everyone in the ward how awesome they are. and i'm so greatful for the support!

Love,
Ashley!
