Had a Rough Week

So... as the title implies. Not the greatest week (numberwise.) One investigator has been unwell so he cancelled on Tuesday... and another must've forgotten about our appointment cuz he didn't meet us at the library on wednesday. our  dinner appointment one day  fell through (they all had the flu :(...) Friday morning we discovered my bike had a flat... that was an adventure... so we didn't get much done that day... and the next morning.... :(
A third investigator wasn't home. It was going to be his final lesson before his baptismal interview (which we had planned on having on sunday morning) we knocked for at least 10 minutes refusing to accept the fact that he wasn't in. and then called every hour for the rest of the day.  He didn't make it to church the next day either. so we lost his baptismal date.  i'm pretty sure he is still interested though. just busy. he sent us a text saying that something came up with work or something. unexpected.  we're hoping to get in contact with him soon.
but it was still a good week (other than all the let downs) i refuse to let it get to me. :)  We had the opportunity to do a service project for a less active member and we sang to him as our spiritual thought.  he cried. we seem to have that effect on people.
Pres. and sis. Rasmussen came to our flat on tuesday (for interviews.) that was fun.  he's awesome. and he says that there will be some changes in this area with the next transfers... so we're excited for next week to find out what they'll be. :)
we took our first train to Barry on thursday. only £3! cheaper than the bus... and we took our bikes with us... though Barry has horrible hills... they're hard just to walk up (attached picture 281... though the pic doesn't do it justice.)  and we met a pretty awesome less active sister.  her health hasn't been the best, and she and her daughter are going through some financial difficulty.  but she is one of the happiest person i've met.  that made that day totally worth it (plus... that night... we were invited to attended ward council.  it was wonderful to see how the leaders of our ward function and to better understand their needs and how we can help... it was worth the 40 minute ride up there... and we were totally late getting home...)
On saturday we finally got to meet a potential investigator and her family. adorable.
saturday night we had the stake relief society firside. loved it.   it feels so good to go to  something like that to be spiritually uplifted.  to sit with a bunch of other women who share my faith.  that's when i can feel the spirit strongest. that's when i feel most at home :)
today... we are going to see the castle... unfortunately it's raining. lol. that's actually abnormal compared to the last 10 days... but hey, welcome to Wales!
the work continues. and i love it... (well it's a love hate relationship in the mornings... i didn't think i would struggle so much... but getting up early. it's cold. i don't want to move. i know i need to be exactly obedient, so i get up anyway. then i'm all grumpy and negative... that's when i struggle with the idea that i still have 16 more months... i start countdowns. then by the middle of the day i feel guilty, cuz i don't really want it to go by quickly. i want to make a difference. i want to help the ward here.
each day feels like a week and each week feels like a day.... we heard that one in the mtc too. it's sooooo true. but Sunday always comes... and then another p-day! and the work keeps progressing.  we're praying for some more success this coming week!

i love you all tons!
have a great week!
